Back before Nirvana hit the charts I took refuge with this little book. through the years I have reread this several times, and went on to enjoy the works of one of the characters in this book(Gary Snyder)When Nirvana finally did hit the charts, I remember loaning this book out. and turning others on to it. My original copy disappeared and the copy I own now is falling apart. This is the first book that I ever read from Jack Kerouac, A decade later I finally read his more famous "On the road".
